Social Justice Advocacy, a short list

Once upon a time, you could go to a local store, hire a service provider, shop online, or give to a local civic  group and not have to worry that your money that you spend will be given to white nationalist christo-fascists.  Given to people who want to impose their religious beliefs on everyone, especially people who aren't members of their cult.  Given to people who are working to enact legislation to criminalize women's rights, abortion, lgbtq medical treatment, contraception, non-christian faiths, and secular humanism.

Those days are gone.

We cannot continue to spend money without knowing the businesses you're buying from - what political contributions they give, what right wing "nonprofits" they support, and what discriminatory employment policies they have. 

We cannot continue to spend money without knowing whether or not they pay living wages, have decent benefits, and treat their workers with dignity.  Too many right wing business owners have a plantation mentality.  Too many right wing business owners support maga, qanon, and modern day nazis.

So if you are not willing to research the places you spend money, you may as well just mail it to the Maga & QAnon supporters and the right wing insurrectionists. Because they intend to impose their religious and cultural beliefs on this nation. And if you're giving businesses money that fund those groups, you are helping them destroy our human rights.

Yes, you. This is war, and you're giving resources to the enemy.  

They will take the money we spend at right wing businesses and use it to persecute, oppress, and demonize women, lgbtq folks, people of color, and non-christians.

They will cripple every social safety net program. 

They will make public education into ignorant christian fundamentalist indoctrination.  

They will remove every environmental regulation and poison the water and air even worse than they already are. 

Their indifference to climate collapse will cause crop failures, desertification of the southwest, coastal flooding, and housing market crashes resulting in climate refugees right here in the US that will not be given housing, jobs, or any other assistance.

And they're doing all this for greed, yes, but also for theological reasons. They don't feel like white republican jesus is "coming back" fast enough, so they intend to force the "end times" to arrive.

Until then, they intend to implement christian Dominionism, the belief that their literalist, unscientific, puritan version of christianity must be imposed on the nation via law, under threat of economic and police violence against those who refuse to comply. 

They're already doing it - criminalizing women, parents, doctors, teachers, social workers, and advocates.  And they're gerrymandering voting districts and installing election officials who will take away your right to vote them out of office.

They are appointing judges who don't give a rats rear end about your constitutional right to freedom of religious practice, or separation of church and state, or your right to bodily autonomy.  They don't believe in a right to privacy.

This is a matter of life and death. You cannot continue to give your money to right wing businesses, nor can you sit back and take an "ignorance is bliss" attitude. 

We must boycott the new inquisition. No matter how "hot" that item is, no matter how inconvenient it is to change companies. This is war, and one election is not going to solve this problem. 

Stop giving resources to the enemy.
